Continuing with the reports of common redpolls finally moving south
from the north woods I had a flock of 48 along CTH Y just north of
Mazomanie. Also, the UW-Arboretum was fairly birdy this morning with
a group of 6 White-winged Crossbills hitting the tamarack cones hard
just beyond Teal Pond. There were also pine siskins, white-throated
sparrows, and robins in the area.
