Continuing with the reports of common redpolls finally moving south from the north woods I had a flock of 48 along CTH Y just north of Mazomanie. Also, the UW-Arboretum was fairly birdy this morning with a group of 6 White-winged Crossbills hitting the tamarack cones hard just beyond Teal Pond. There were also pine siskins, white-throated sparrows, and robins in the area.
