[wisb] DOWITCHERS in Platteville

I too was working in the Platteville area today and stopped at the Walmart and 
spotted the DOWITCHERS in the pond.

I too was a bit tentative to report the birds, as I just saw my first 
Dowitchers this past weekend at the WSO convention. I wasn't sure they belonged 
at the Walmart!  So, I was glad to see Luke and Dave's posts.

I felt somewhat comfortable in my ID, as I did look in every birders scope at 9 
Ponds during the WSO---which I believe was 14 scopes in our group!  I was quite 
taken with the shorebirds and they are a new favorite of mine.  

One last note, I wish to formerly thank everyone at the WSO convention who was 
so very kind to me and my friend.  We had so much fun and learned so very much. 
 Your kindness and willingness to help the "new birders" identify the birds was 
greatly appreciated.  To all in our caravans thanks for putting up with my 
talking to the birds and dancing when we saw the Blackburnian!
