As of yesterday ,things have changed in regards to those that may have plans(driving a considerable distance) to go to the Sax-Zim Bog for either birding or photography....the "wild bird feeding stations" on the Arkola Road,Owl Avenue,South Admiral Road and the latest station on the McDavitt road(not entirely sure about this one) exist no more....The Minnesota DNR has given notice that they were to be removed....Apparently someone who lives in the area complained to the DNR that the stations(with deer carcass's) were attracting timber wolves(which they're not) and they didn't want wolves in the area.....so....the DNR responded with a plasticised "warning" on each station that they were to be removed....... The stations are gone.....just a heads up for the birders/photogs that travel any distance to view the birds at these stations....of course there is still the privately owned stations such as the Morse feeder in Meadowlands....the wild stations are the only ones affected....Thanks all....
