[wisb] "Chuck" still amuck in Jackson Co.

I had a message from Jim Otto that he heard the Bartos Rd. Chuck-will's-widow
last Thursday evening (July 2) prior to doing a second run of his Nightjar
Survey route up there. (He also had an uncomfortably close encounter with a
very large Black Bear on the trail to the Dike 17 observation tower earlier
that evening. Sounds like both participants got a good scare out of it...)

In slightly more mundane news, I saw a couple of Am. White Pelicans soaring
over the Oshkosh Fleet Farm store yesterday afternoon. I also checked the
Harvey/Wangsness Rd. pond complex in Columbia Co. on Friday evening - there
wasn't much there except for a lone Killdeer and a bunch of Coots.
