I just read on the ABA blog that Chandler Robbins passed away earlier this week
at the age of 98. He was a world renowned ornithologist and the brother of our
own Sam Robbins. Chan created the influential Golden Guide series of bird and
wildlife field guides. He also conceived the idea of the Breeding Bird Survey
routes. Two truly remarkable men that contributed significantly to the world of
ornithology.
