At the Manitowoc Impoundment this evening Davor Grgic and I found 13 species
of shorebird including one Buff-breasted Sandpiper and the previously
reported Red Knot. And a Common Tern which Charles Sontag told us was
unusual for this location. A Peregrine Falcon kept the birds on their toes.
Also Semipalmated Plover 5, Killdeer 2, Spotted Sandpiper 5, Lesser
Yellowlegs 8, Semipalmated Sandpiper 25, Least Sandpiper 2, Baird's
Sandpiper 2, Pectoral Sandpiper 2, Stilt Sandpiper 6, Short-billed Dowitcher
