Ryan,

Absolutely no offense taken. I fully understand what you're saying.

Like I said in my last post, I'm not sure I could convince a records committee 
of this ID. And like you said, I've learned a heck of a lot more about gull IDs 
by trying to sort this out, which is a *BIG* plus. 

But for my informal, personal BIGBY purposes, I can't think of another gull 
that size, with markings like that, at this time of year. I'm just trying to 
record the possibilities of the diversity that one might encounter while 
walking from home. If enough other people think I'm off base, I'll leave it as 
a "possible".
