Charles Sontag just called to say that he found an adult male Barrow's Goldeneye in the water to the south side of the impoundment. It was quite close to the containment wall and in the company of a male Black Scoter and a male Long-tailed Duck. It was also in the company of about 550 Common Goldeneye. In some 45 years of birding this spot, this is the first find of a Barrow's by Charles. Charles suspects this Barrow's may have been around for some time, mixing with the Commons, but this is the first time he noticed it in the mix. -- Bob Domagalski, St. Nazianz #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
