[wisb] August Derleth Park: Oriole Show of Shows

My friend and I spent an hour from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm walking along the
Wisconsin River in August Derleth Park in Sauk City. Oh my goodness did we get
a treat. We watched an wonderful Oriole dance for over 30 minutes. We counted
at least 12+ ( maybe closer to 15) Orioles swooping, diving, and darting
between the tree tops. It was just blur of bright orange. My friend is not a
birder but, was in awe of the sheer beauty of the dance!

We saw this amazing display just down the hill from the Ace Hardware store.
They were in the trees right in front of the parking lot. Yesterday, another
friend and I saw a few Orioles further up,the river by The Blue Spoon
restaurant.

Plus, there were lots of Blue birds, one Black-and-white Warbler, Cardinals,
and a Great Blue Heron. But, the Orioles were the stars today.
