Started morning in Cambria and saw the pair of Eurasion Tree Sparrows around 8:30 AM shortly before Nolan Pope and Jim Schwarz showed up and saw them as well - they suggested a trip to Grassy Lake for the eared Grebes that Steve, Nolan and Mark found sunday. I did not get to Grassy Lake until about 2:30 PM and after fruitless search of the marsh, things came into view. A single Red-necked Grebe was working the reeds in the middle of the lake and in back there were the 2 Eared Grebes - there was also a single Horned Grebe in the area as well that got into a brief squable with the 2 Eared Grebes - so then with the Pied Billed Grebes I saw 4 Grebe species at Grassy Lake. Not much on Fox Lake and Beaver Dam Lake - except lots of Bonapartes Gulls, and a few Forster's Terns and some lingering Ducks and Pelicans.
