Well, that implies learning. While in college, I had a particularly mind
numbing job (think "Office Space" which is a movie about what you missed by
not working in the 90s!) and I brought in my DOS 6.22 desktop, and proceeded
to figure out what every DOS command and utility did. There was a lot in
there, and in Windows 2000 there is even more...

I've never once used the "My Documents" structure for storing my data. You
aren't forced into using it - create your own!
