Have you tried a different user account? Sounds like a corrupt profile...

Subject: [windows2000] Windows 2000 Laptop will not boot

I have a W2K laptop that will not fully load. After the ctr-alt-del prompt
and after you enter your password and you have heard the lovely windows
tune, nothing happens. Even in safe mode and while trying to load the
recovery console. Any ideas?

Thanks
