You'll need software running on your network that acts as a WOL controller.
It doesn't just wake up when it detects traffic (as I've spent hours
explaining to users lately).

Subject: [windows2000] Wake on LAN

I have a new Windows 2000 Pro workstation that has Wake on LAN support. =
That is a feature I have always ignored but I would like to be able to =
turn this machine on remotely.=20

How exactly do I use Wake on LAN to actually make it work or am I =
misunderstanding what it does.

Thanks!

Greg
