[windows2000] Re: WSUS download error

Thanks, I think I got it running again by using the steps below.
   
   
  1. net stop WSusService
  2. CD "%programfiles%\Update Services\tools\osql\osql.exe" -S <SQL instance 
name -E -b -n -Q "USE SUSDB update tbConfigurationC set 
BitsDownloadPriorityForeground=1" 
  3. net start WSusService
  [Replace <SQL instance name with your SQL server or %computername%\WSUS if 
you are using WMSDE]

  Guys,
   
  I approved some update to apply lest Friday, but not all went thru. Status of 
download shows the following, and this has been the case since last Friday.
   
          Status of Downloads    Updates needing files:  3    Downloading 0.00 
MB of 3.54 MB
   
  I have had a Look @ event viewer and have the following error.
   
  Event Type: Error
Event Source: Windows Server Update Services
Event Category: Synchronization 
Event ID: 364

Computer: WsusServer01
Description:
Content file download failed. Reason : The server does not support the 
necessary HTTP protocol. Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 
requires that the server support the Range protocol header.
