By the way you can also check the client and server logs to see any
errors that might have been logged. The client log files are here
%systemroot%/WindowsUpdate.log. The server log files are the IIS log
files located %systemroot%\system32\Logfiles\W3SVC1

We fully implementing AD, so I don't think the registry
modification is necessary. Not quite sure where to start looking.

It would have been nice to have a GUI that shows how you can
test push out updates

You can also just push out the client Policy
configurations as registry keys. Useful if you are not yet using AD.

Have you set up a Group Policy so your computers
know they should update from your WSUS server?

I am still using SUS but I think you still need
the policy. It is located in:

                        Hi Guys,

Here is the deal. I have approved updates to be
installed in WSUS since 23/09/05, the deadline has passed and none of
the updates have been applied. Am I doing something wrong? The clients
are reporting ok, so I dont think it is a comms issues.

Please help, cos not quite sure what the problem
is.

                        Thanks

                        Dave
