I was refering to software inventory...  If a user had Corel 8 installed =
on their workstation, SMS would record the Programs as being installed. =
If that same workstation had Corel 8 uninstalled and Office 2000 =
installed.  The SMS database would show both Corel 8 and Office 2000 as =
being installed.

mouse button I'm able to retrieve all information (including WMI data, =

virus
definitions, AddRemove Programs, DCOM version etc) that I need. =3D20

As for it still showing up in the db... Well, you just have to read a =
=3D
bit
further.... In most cases (at least in my experience) it usually has to =
=3D
deal
with the way SMS discovers machines - using DHCP.  So, if the DHCP =3D
server
has it, it will sometimes respond back.

Yeah, right....  SMS kicks Tivoli's butt time and again.  Alitiris will
integrate nicely with SMS... But there is a huge price tag.  No problems
with SMS here.
