Huh, that's good to know. You know what the stupidest thing was about Tivoli? Here, let me tell you. :] So, when we had Tivoli, the host that it ran on was an AS/400. That machine has more RAM than I have hard drive space. And it has more processing power than my whole department's computer collection put together. But, when you went and ran a query, like let's say you wanted a list of all software on all machines, the query would run on the CLIENT. Utterly ridiculous. So, if you wanted to run a query of software on 800 machines on a 833 Mhz Windows NT workstation, it would take like half an hour. Meanwhile, the AS/400 is sitting there using 4% of its resources. What the hell kind of a client-server database application runs queries on the client like this instead of having the host do it and return a recordset? Unbelievable. It was the worst software I ever had to use in my life. Whoever made it that software WILL find his horse's head in his bed some day.
