Congratulations, I must have missed the middle of the thread. I hope all
goes well with the new job.
I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area (east bay). I unexpectedly had to start a
job search at the end of October.

Ah, late-comer.  I gave my two weeks notice at my current job on Wednesday.
I start my first TEK Systems-placed consulting job on 11/29.  :]

I believe that someone told me that TEK Systems is nation-wide.  Where are
