Hyper-v is out of beta and working ok. I have had my environment working for well over 3months, just got knocked out by the security update, but like I said it all seems to be working ok again. With regards to beta hyper-v, the only issue was that you had to have the language and environment settings set to US for it to work, but I hear with the new ones it does not matter. ----- Original Message ---- From: Sorin Srbu <sorin.srbu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, September 8, 2008 11:22:32 AM Subject: [windows2000] Re: Server almost dead after security update - windows 2008 Patrick <> scribbled on Monday, September 08, 2008 11:41 AM: I have something similar as you; a Fujitsu Primergy Econel 110 S2. Had no problem with the NICs or anything. OTOH, I did a rather small install, only added IIS to the roles. I was thinking of installing hyper-v, but the installer said something about it being a beta and I didn't like the sound of that. Has hyper-v come out of beta yet? If not, can you use Vmware's equivalent instead? I think they have an ESX "Express"-version (or something) as a free download and use, if that works for you. > Hi Sorin, > > > > I have my server on a x64 duo core 4GB mem.
