Cheers for all you suggestions, got a unpublished hotfix from MS that seems to have cured the issue - well as far as XP Pro goes, so will crack on and test with 2K Pro now ! The first is that the computer will do a PXE boot. If the computer is set up to do this then this first part is OK. If the computer is not set up that way, there are a limited number of NICs that are supported by a PXE boot disk. 3Com TX cards are one. There are others from Intel and some other manufacturers. It is not possible to add drivers for a particular card to this part so if your card is not supported or your computer does not support PXE than you can always use a second card for the initial load and then remove the card and install the proper drivers for the NIC you will use. The second driver issue is the case where the drivers for your NIC are not on the Windows CD and in a normal install you need to have windows look at a different spot for the drivers. This appears to be your problem and that is the OEM driver issue I mentioned in the previous email. Look up the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article #246184. It is How to add third party OEM network adapters to RIS installations. This can also be used to add display drivers and sound drivers if those are also third party drivers that need to be added separately from the regular Windows CD install files. If not you can create a boot disk. Hope this helps. Run RIPREP on the client and upload the config to the server, yet after PXE booting the client selecting the image it staff's and tells me the selected image does not contain a suitable network driver for my PC hardware - all 20 pc's are the same, have even tried it on the machine RIPREP was done on ? Any clues or pointers ??? Mark
