Maybe I'm just way off base here but shouldn't I be able to see both of my
domains in the "Directory"?

Actually, I already have Exchange hosting multiple domains it is a lot easier
than you would think. Given you have $250 to call MS during the process. My
problem is somewhere in the permissions pool. I basically want anyone in the
ABC domain to have access to what a standard users has access to in my XYZ
domain and vise versa. In the end Joe@abc will be able to access the same
network file store as jane@xyz.

Questions? Comments? Threats?

Pretty much lost in all that .com .net .org .br!!!! ; )

I never ever used Exchange in my life so I have no clue on how to configure
it...

There must be a way to configure exchange to have two different domains and
authenticate on the right one but Im not even going to try to answer it
without ever touching Exchange! Im sure someone over here can help you on
that... They are just quiet right now... Ppl help!!!!! ; P

Eduardo

Okay, so I have a trust set up now. But I want a user from .net to be able
to have an email on my exchange server in .com but still be able to check it
from .net. I can't seem to manage the .net AD from my .com.

.net .com .com .net

confused?

Open AD Domain and Trusts, go to properties on the domain you want to add a
trust and click add on domains trusted by this domain and put the other
domain. Also make this domain trusted by other domains by clicking on the
other add... Do the same on the other AD.

You can also do it on the command line but I cant recall the command (netdom
I think).

Eduardo

Does anyone know how to setup a trust between two AD domains?

I have one domain in a 192.168.0.x subnet lets call it abc.com

I have another domain in a 192.168.5.x subnet lets call it xyz.net

They can ping and can access each other if you use the password for the
domain you are in. However, I want these domains to trust each other and
each others users, so one user from one domain can access information on the
other domain from his own username. I've been trying to get this to work
for a month now and I'm about to call MS on it but I figured I would ask.
What I've done so far is go into domains and trusts and click on add I add
the .com to the .net trust then I go to .com and try to add .net and it just
says I can't contact it or something.

Any quick thoughts.

Gunnar
