That's because dropping mail detected as spam is the wrong answer, and putting it in a seperate folder isn't much better. I use Challenge/Response (specifically TMDA) for mail detected as spam, that way legit mail still gets through. (though you do need to whitelist things like mailing lists)

What do you mean by Challenge/Response?

TMDA (and similiar products such as qconfirm) work by sending out a challenge email when someone wants to email you, if they reply to that email they are added to a whitelist, and are not challenged again, if they don't the email stays in the pending directory. Check it out here:
