We recently purchased an HP LaserJet 1300, which is supposed to be the successor to the 1200. HP has changed the cartridge form factor a bit so that it won't fit, and appear to have installed some sort of chip on the front. In addition they have switched back to a centronics connector rather than a regular parallel cable. I am currently researching to find out whether our toner supplier can handle remanufacturing for this line of cartridges, and I'll let you know when I find out. My guess is that they'll be doing this for the successor to the 1000 series as well so keep an eye out if you use HP equipment.
