Can't you just install the pcAnywhere client?

I haven't used it for years, but I think that used to be an option...

I need to use the remote part of PCAnywhere on the PC to connect to a PC on
the other side of the world running PC Anywhere host. I won't be using the
host part on the PC this end.

There's an idea though...If the other PC (the host) is a Windows XP PC I
could use Remote Assistance instead. Is this approach, though the internet
a recommended solution?

I'm curious as to why you would *want* PCAnywhere on XPP machines. Inbuilt
Remote Assistance no good for you?

But to answer your question, I think 9.2 is compatible with W2K but I'm not
so sure about XP - if it's a "must have" then personally I'd be sure to go
for a version that I *know* is compatible - you know how fussy XP can be :)
