I am sick of these stupid Open Letters from SCO so here is one for them.
An Open Letter to SCO
Dear SCO,
You are correct, the entire computer industry and world for that matter IS
laughing at you. Everyone DOES hate you. Even if your claims are true, you
are beating a dead horse. You should shut your pie holes and move on with
your lives! Rather than pay your company a red cent for some snippet of
code you claim, yet haven't proven, that you wrote in the dark ages of
computing, the Open source and Linux community will switch to something else
faster than you can say lawsuit. And you of course realizing this, out of
desperation, have chosen to go after and attack the GNU Public license to
try and prevent that from happening.
SCO is destroying the entire current economic growth of the computer
industry. Corporations are holding off buying hardware with Linux on it
because of your unfounded and still unproven allegations and threats to sue.
SCO's apparent greed and desperation in a world where much of the population
is living in poverty, likens you to a class compared with the likes of, Oh
let's say, Marilyn Manson. (In case you don't know who he is, and I assume
you don't, Marilyn Manson is a rock artist who says he is also a High Priest
for Satan) You should be ashamed of yourselves. Repent!
Personally and professionally I do not use Linux or Unix and have nothing to
do with the Free Software Association. I have never had a need to use your
products because Microsoft Products have accommodated us quite nicely, thank
you very much. And I feel quite content that Microsoft is not going to
sue my company or myself for using licensed versions of its products. Yet
every person who has ever bought a licensed version of Linux from a bona
fide vendor now has to worry about your company trying to sue them on
unfounded and yet unproven claims. These tactics can be likened to the
brutal mobster extortion fear tactics on mom and pops businesses during the
Al Capone days. Pay up or else! Pure evil. Someone call an exorcist!
The outcome of this is that SCO will lose it's current customers and prevent
yourselves from acquiring anymore. Your company will fail. SCO will be no
more. The world will rejoice. Hallelujah! Good will triumph over evil as
it always does. Beer for the horses.
Please stop sending out your sniveling, whiny, poorly written open letters.
It is not accomplishing anything and we really are tired of them. Besides,
you really have done a superb job on your own in proving to the world that
your company is on course to be a failing and fledgling worthless piece of
(fill in the blank).
