[windows2000] Re: OS of a remote system

You can install 'SolarWinds'.
It's a suit of tools and I'm thinking of smnp scannern.
If the smnp client is activated as it is on windows NT/2000, Solaris.
Then you will get a lot of information. I don't know about windows 2003
or all the linux distribution but try it for 30 days before by it.
I like the tool a lot.

Anyone know of a way to find out what Operating System is on a remote box?
All I'm basically looking for is a way to run a command that will tell me if
it's Solaris, Linux or Windows.  I know it's a longshot and probably no way,
but you guys are smart! :D
