[windows2000] My desktop machine is the master browser!

I just noticed in one of my server event logs that my desktop machine (W2k
Pro) is the master browser for our (not inconsiderable) network. This
explains a lot, particularly the mass of network connections I see in my
firewall activity monitor.

I'd like to know how it's happened (I have Windows 2000 servers on the same
subnet - surely they should take precedence) but mostly I'd like it to stop.
How can I stop my machine volunteering to be the master browser?
