Windows 2003 server, Standard supports 4GB maximum. Enterprise supports 32GB
maximum.

I think the standard windows 2000 server only allows 8gb you need advanced
server for more but it could be 4gb I can't remember?!

I've just taken delivery of a couple of quad-xeon machines with 8GB each, to
be used as VMWare GSX hosts. Unfortunately, only 4GB appears to be
available. Is this because a single 32 bit CPU can only access 4GB? And is
my other 4GB going to waste or can it be used by other CPUs in the system?
Sorry for the newbie questions - this much processing grunt is new to me ;-)
