I dunno. I'm an MCSE and I've been trying to find the time and resources
to fool around with Linux. (Most specifically to set myself up a firewall)
Of course, right now my current project is finding my !#@##@@ Windows 2000
CD so I can do a clean install my system, to undo the damage from my wife
getting a hold of it when her system went down. ~sigh~

That all depends on what you call is cost effective. I would rather pay M$
-
hp price for a web server array ( 4 machines ), than what IBM is asking at
15 times the price ( Web Sphere on Linux ). Anyways, the whole MS versus
Linux thing seems to be a matter of religion than anything else.

if you are committed to only using M$ products, you need to be prepared =
to spend the money for them. They make no cost-effective solutions.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I will first look into the built-in capabilities of W2K, but I've always
been under the impressing the W2K and IIS5 is only capable of sending
mail via SMTP. I will verify that though, because using built-in-ness
would be ideal.

I will then look at Small Business Server. Okay, no I won't. It costs
more than Exchange. ;]

I won't install Linux on anything, because I'm too close minded. Heh.

And chances are I'll wind up running a third party product. (DAMN IT!)

Thanks everyone,

Ray at work
