Same events in the error log? Have you rebooted the machine? If you just log off, it may keep its DNS cache. I don't know. As far as the Internet thing, go into DNS on the server and add a new host (A) in yourdomain.com zone called "www" Give it the IP address of your Web site. People will not be able to get to your site without the www then unless you put a redirect page on your local server there.
