No shared files or folders?
No "server" service running?
No entry in WINS?

Just a few things to check...

If you ping these computer's NetBIOS names, do they respond?

Does anybody know why some computers are invisible for the Network?

When I open MyNetworkPlaces-mydomain, some machines do not appear on the list.
Those machines are joined to the ActiveDirectory and works very fine with
network resources.

Any ideas?
