[windows2000] How to fix a WUP-refusal connections

Hi all,
During Christmas my home-AD died and I had to reinstall it from scratch.
Afterwards, I can't connect to Windows Update manually to patch Windows and
Office. Automatic updates seems to be working though. I have IE8 installed
on all machines, but still get the dump you can see on the below URL.

It smells of a GPO-setting problem but the usual suspects I checked look ok.
Can you advise please? Thanks.
