Keep in mind a few things... Windows 2000 SP3 has only been out for 1 1/2
months and it has issues. Speaking of which, did you update all your AD
servers, DHCP servers, etc to SP3 as well?
Second, there are not a lot of companies using RIS. Most use imaging
software like Ghost or Altiris. In contrast, it's like using PPTP when the
rest of world used L2TP.

What abt. issues like my Windows 2000 Server SP3 RIS not working fine
when deploying RIPrep (or RISeup) images of Win XP SP1? Even the
Windows XP folks I contacted yesterday at Microsoft asking for support
re. this "Windows XP SP1 RIS client" issue told me that "to troubleshoot
the problem requires the knowledge of the server and advanced network.
We are not trained specialists in that field and as such we cannot
provide valid troubleshooting steps for this issue." In other words, to
go talk (and pay dearly per hour) to the Windows 2000 (Server) support
folks.

XP sucks for anything but home use (and I'm talking about XP Pro, I use
