Thanks mate. I've done that to get rid of the file. But as the files are
on a server it takes bit of time to login to server remotely and do
that. I thought there might have been a utility that can be run from
XP/Win2000 client.

Use the built-in shared folder-snapin in administrative tools. This
should show you what files are locked and by who, what sessions are
opneded etc.
