Assuming we are talking remote users within a domain, use a login script. But since you are going to do that, instead of having each workstation open up a share, just have the script pull down the file from one central share instead. If it is something that might change, the workstation login script should pull down a script from the share, and then execute it on the workstation. The central script pulled down should be smart enough to check to see if it needs to do an action (like file dates) before executing. tim -----Original Message----- From: windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:windows2000-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, September 22, 2003 5:10 PM To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] File and Print Sharing Remote Installation Is it possible to remotely install File and Print Sharing on a computer? I have a couple (hundred) remote computers that do not have file and print sharing enabled and I need to get it enabled and configured for Antivirus push downs (also remote management it seems). I do not have a local person (with admin rights or knowledge) that can go to each of these computers and install it.
