Depends on what you purchase... Tier 1 server providers simply do not =
use AMD processors in their server products.

that's not really a fair shot at AMD. I have had less problems with AMD =

based machines than I have Intel based. We have several business =3D
critical batch processing machines here that are mostly Athlon based and =

they run great. Intel marketing would like me to believe otherwise.

I'd steer clear of AMD processors and Boards for a business production =

environment. Stick with a known vendor, such as HP, Dell, IBM.

The cpu (athlon t-bird/1200 with the standard fan) burned on the
dc(!) during the night. Either that or it got severly overheated
for whatever reason... Some new years eve... The boss better not
forget the *Sysadmin's Appreciation Day 2003*...
Anyway, I switched the mobo and cpu to another I had handy. This
mobo features an integrated lan-chip, and now I can ghost the dc.
Ie w/o depromoting it. I'm doing it right now.=3D3D20
What gives? Will the image work should I need to ghost
(image-to-disk) the dc again??
