[windows2000] Re: Auto-shutdown pc's with GPO

about 780 workstations. The thing is, the IT support staff are concerned that
staff do not shutdown everyday when they leave, and especially a period like
this when we are going into the Christmas holiday, it would be a good idea to
have all pc's turned off, as the office is going to be  shut for about 2 weeks.

Out of curiosity, do they have any numbers to support that a full shutdown is
so much better than leaving a machine in a hibernation state. Logically, a
full shutdown should be better as a machine is fully off, and shouldn't be
drawing any electricity, but how much better I wonder?

How many computers are we talking BTW?
