Yeah, the 1>> is the same as >>. 2>> is error output although not much
get's written on this these days (depends on the guy who code's the tool in
the first place).

We actually use TEE.EXE from a port of several unix util's. TEE as in
T-piece will output to std out (err out) and also to a named file, found it
slightly more reliable.

Try:

Copy "\\msi-server\msi\Eudora v6.2.0.14 Custom\Eudora" "\\%1\c$\program
files\qualcomm\eudora" /Y 1>>%computername%.txt 2>>%computername%.txt

Copy "\\msi-server\msi\Eudora v6.2.0.14 Custom\Eudora\plugins"
"\\%1\c$\program files\qualcomm\eudora\plugins" /Y 1>>%computername%.txt
2>>%computername%.txt

1 is normal output and 2 is error output. Or at least... I think that should
work.

Hi all,

Suppose I have the below lines in a batch startup script. Can I somehow log,
and append, any output to "computername.txt"-file?

copy "\\msi-server\msi\Eudora v6.2.0.14 Custom\Eudora" "\\%1\c$\program
files\qualcomm\eudora" /Y > %computername%.txt copy "\\msi-server\msi\Eudora
v6.2.0.14 Custom\Eudora\plugins" "\\%1\c$\program
files\qualcomm\eudora\plugins" /Y > %computername%.txt

TIA.

BW,

Sorin
