[windows2000] AD not updating name

Hello list,
Why is it that Win2k server with the latest windowsupdates does not show you
the updated display name when you edit the user's name (not the username) in
the AD Users & Computers section? The update shows if I go into the user, but
the display is wrong, and can't seem to get it to "refresh" properly. Ideas?
