hi together,
does anyone have experiences with S-ATA? I want to run one of my two HDDs on
the SATA-Controller of my mainboard in order to address all drives as Master
(OS is Win2003-Server). But I wether can see the drive somewhere in the BIOS
nor when installing Windows.
Now I have installed Win2003 and can go to the managementdialogue for my drives
and there I see that my Windows at least has recognized that there's more than
just one HDD. It says "device 1", but declares it as inaccessable or what ever.
So, I can't see or access the second drive on my SATA-Controller on the
mainboard (ASUS xy :-) - what and where do I have to configure my system in
order to get the second HDD working properly (ok, I could use the DVD as Slave
and the two HDDs as Masters on the IDE, but isn't this constallation also
possible? That's the way it was delivered by the manufactor - except that the
first HDD was connected to the RAID-Controller - now the RAID -should- be
disabled and the first HDD is connected to Primary Master IDE)
thankx in advance
Sebastian
