WinCue v1.40 Beta 2 Released

Well, at least I can say we are one step closer to the final release of WinCue
v1.40. However, some errors were reported during the first beta period, so I
decided to fix them and go for another round of testing. Not much else to say
really, except go grab it, of course..

If you are looking for the source code distribution it is now available for
download from:

   http://www.sf.net/projects/wincue/

Since this is a beta release it may not be as stable as the previous non-beta
releases, but I still encourage you to try it out if you feel comfortable with
running beta software. This version has been tried and tested for several
weeks before being released to the public, so I expect it to work very well
for the most of you.

If you encounter any problems with instaling or running this beta version

What's New In WinCue v1.40 Beta 2

Here's a list of what's new in this release:

   - Fixed a problem with reloading the Media Library/playlist always resulting
     in an empty search (showing all entries) when "Delay search X ms" was not
     enabled.

   - Fixed problem with "Show tooltips in search list" option not working. (It
     was not possible to disable it.)

   - Fixed Media Library crash when loading files with invalid(?)
     date/timestamp.

   - Possibly added support for ClearType rendering on Windows XP. (Needs
     verification.)

   - Fixed problem with font rendering always being anti-aliased on Windows
     2000. (Now follows system settings.)

   - Possibly fixed a resource leak in skin code. (Maybe problem with skin
     turning green is fixed now?)

   - Added a hacky party mode. (Set party_mode=1 in registry to use it. It's
     still *very* experimental though...)

   - Improved error handling in track info guessing (processing of
     filename_formats.txt). Now gives meaningful error message if something
     goes wrong when loading the file.

   - Help pages are now displayed in external browser instead of Winamp's
     browser window. (This caused problems with Winamp 5.)

   - Numerous minor fixes and improvements.

   - Documentation updated for this release :)
