I don't even know if those soundcards have a mixer option in thm. Someone else would have to answer that.

Hi Rick, thanks wso much for your help. I wasn't very clear. This is a usb sound card. It's not just a head set. It's got RCA line in jacks, some digital ports, a mic jack, some other stuff. It's not really stripped down. It's just a USB sound card which I purchased a while back when i wanted to have two to have jfw come through one and music come through the other. I'm wondering if I just don't know where to look for the "what you hear" business. I may just switch to the internal sound card and see if i can find things more easily. Thanks for your help again!
