Good, glad it worked. Not sure how Window-Eyes works but with JAWS I don't need to route the JFW cursor at all. If I just move to the "Free Download" graphic with the arrow keys and press the enter key, it acts just like a link. I didn't pay too much attention, but the only options I saw were Standard and Pro. It looked like the Standard option allowed you to check additional options like MP3's and so on. Like I said, I didn't pay too much attention, but it didn't look like there was the Lite (or whatever it was called) and the Full version. -- Christopher chaltain@xxxxxxxxx _____ From: winamp4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:winamp4theblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve Zielinski Sent: Wednesday, December 09, 2009 9:30 PM To: winamp4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Where can I successfully download winamp 5.56? OK, I managed to download and install winamp 5.56 standard version. Christopher, I found that download graphic as you indicated, routed my mouse to the graphic, left clicked with the mouse key to download the program. I got the usual message that the file should automatically start downloading, which it didn't. That's not unusual for me with the IE 8. There's some setting I suppose I have to change for automatic downloading to start. Anyway, there was a message that if ddownloading doesn't start automatically, "click here". So I routed the mouse to the "click here" phrase and left clicked. which I did with the left mouse key, and the download did start. During the installation, there was a listobx of nine online services, I think that was installation step 3 out of four. I clicked on the top one with the space bar, thinking it was a checkbox to uncheck it, and then I had only 8 items in the list. Couldn't find what happened with that first item, nor do I recall what it said. Anyway, finished the download in that condition. I suppose if I find odd behavior in the future I can fix that later. Thanks to all for the help. Now I can help my friend get her winamp going as well. Hi John, I'm after the full version, I think that is what it is called. Not the Lite and not the professional, the one in the middle. Also thanks Duyahn and Christopher for their suggestions. Others may have written but I've not gotten to those emails yet. ----- Original Message ----- From: DJ DOCTOR P <mailto:djdoctorp@xxxxxxx> To: winamp4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, December 09, 2009 8:09 PM Subject: Re: Where can I successfully download winamp 5.56? High Steve, What version of Winamp are you trying to get? Are you after the full version or the light version? Hi folks, I know this topic keeps coming up on this list and I'msorry for bringing it up again. I can't locate a proper link on the winamp.com page to download 5.56. The page says stuff like download, the file size and such, but it doesn't appear as an actual link or onclick with window eyes 7.11. I tried this at a friend's house as well, she was wanting to update, and I had the same problem there. So where can I successfully find a properly working link to download winamp 5.56. Their page is a mess.
