Hi gangg; just a winamp question re jiberish from a music file

I tried to get a music file going by simply entering on the music piece I've
kept in a folder but when I entered on the piece, I was instantly shoferred
in to word pad and I found there a buch of jiberish liek , .1, sh, ETC! No
music played. I have both winamp of which I've just downloaded, and windows
media player with which I tried to play my songs but in both cases in
winamp, and win. media player, got the word pad dtreatment and jiberish.
I've just paid 10 dollars for these music pieces from a pay as you go site
for music. Can Anyone tell me how to get this mess cleared up? At least
tell me what's happening re that foolish word pad stuff? Thanks, and hello
to all on the winamp list. Now when someone helps me don't forget to make
it clear re problem and perhaps in simple terms, help me. This old brain
can still take in some facts re help, but take it easy on me ay lol;  Chow;
