I tried your suggestion Dennis, just reinstalling and it didn't,
unfortunately, have any positive effect. So now I'm thinking of uninstalling
winamp 5.5 completely and installing version 5.52. But I have the usual
question. Where can I locate the winamp bookmark file so I can save it? I've
even forgotten the extension on the bookmark file.
Any help there? Would it be okay to fully uninstall 5.5 and install 5.52?
Any problems with 5.52? If the problem continues, I'll have to live with it,
but it is a bit of a bother. Thanks for your suggestion Dennis too.

i would just re install it. i had the same issues a fiew weeks ago so i
just re installed and everything was fine. you don't have to uninstall it just
re install it.
