Thanks, Chris for moderating on this! I totally concur with what you are
saying. Let me say, though, that if someone gives me information, on an
intermediate or advanced level and I don't articulate what I am trying to
say, correctly, isn't it incumbent upon that person to slow down and try to
walk me through it? Otherwise, isn't there just a tendency to "feed your
ego", as to your expertise, as it were? That seems to happen, a lot, on
this list. Since you just explained that it is an intermediate or advanced
list, then, maybe, as you continue to help people to get to that level, you
need to help us to understand what is going on! I can't stress this point
enough! Now, back to the experimentation, with build 1178 (not 1158) of
version 5.34 Beta! I don't think that I will be doing much more with this
Beta thing, though, because it is pretty scary to my computer system and I
don't want to create other problems. If you could recommend a person that
is able and willing to tutor me, in this realm, by all means, do so! Thanks
for all of your help!

Hi Mac

I'm not sure what experience you have with Windows itself, but if
you're confused about some of the concepts, you might like to join
another list to ask other sort of windows related questions.
This way, you'll have a better understanding of the type of things
that Jim, myself and others are talking about. This list is for
people who are intermediate to advanced Windows users, so you are
going to see some more advanced stuff. it's not always easy to walk
folks through things, nice as it is.
So, when you see posts like this, it's not as if that the more
advanced users on the list are trying to be rude or abrupt, far from it.
It's just that you aren't understanding the exchange of
information. If you really wanna try to learn about things, ask
about specific terms that you're fuzzy on. Like for example, if you
don't understand a term that Jim, myself, or someone else is using,
just write in and say hey, I'm not sure what you're refering to here,
could you elaborate or explain what you mean by *insert term you
aren't sure about here*? if you do we'll be happy too. But to do
that, we have to know exactly what you're not sure about, so it helps
to be specific. That way, we'll all help each other which is what
the list is all about, that's the goal here.
