From new and graduating scholarship students to improved health conditions through new school kitchen stoves to new classrooms, your donations are making a world of difference!! In spite of the devalued Kenya Shilling, we are holding high school scholarships at $400 a year for 2012. Your scholarship dollars help bring an orphan out of poverty. As a result of your generosity, over 400 girls in rural Tanzania will be getting a wonderful education. Joining Hearts and Hands has also built the Form II and Form III classrooms.. As you can see from the photo, the fireplace was not venting properly. The new stove uses less wood, is smokeless and is providing a source of food for the students at Hannah's Hope. This is the Friday after Thanksgiving, so while out shopping, stop by at Casa Larga Winery at 2287 Turk Hill Road, Fairport. Bryce Lednar and Lily Taylor have done some spectacular work at St. Claire's Orphanage. Also, Bryce has shared his business training with our micro-business groups in several villages in the Kisumu area. Bryce returned in September after a four month stay and Lily is in her fifth month in Kisumu. She plans on returning by Thanksgiving. Our hats off to these two wonderful individuals! Bravo!! *Megan, Hannah and Remy Small who organized the 3rd Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale for children in Africa through Joining Hearts and Hands. They raised $400 this year! Thank You! *Artist and teacher Linda Lawrence of Bella Beads who AGAIN made her June Hearts for Hannah. This campaign raised $1800 for Hannah's Hope. Linda's work is exceptional and her dedication to Joining Hearts and Hands and Hannah's Hope along with her husband Peter is breath taking. We cannot thank them enough.
