[webproducers] Re: webproducers Digest V1 #80

We chose freelists for a few main reasons including:

a) feelists don't sell their lists like Yahoo .
b) they don't have any ads
c) they are only for computer related lists
d) they are not-for-profit
e) there are real people running it and they reply to you quickly when you
ask for tech support running the list

I tried putting commands in the footer before but people complained because
the footer got so long. Also, since freelists gave us a script that makes a
little form on the web page you can easily just drop your e-mail into the
form and then in the pull down select what command you want (e.g. subscribe,
unsubscribe, turn vacation on, turn vacation off).

Is everybody ok with that do you want me to put in a footer again with the
commands?

Free forums on Yahoo Groups do embed unsubscribe,etc info in every posted
email.

Instead of sending people to a web page for " ...easily access list commands
like
subscribe, unsubscribe..." etc., it would be more considerate to simply give
direct e-mail options for same.
