[webproducers] Re: web-based in out board?

The original problem was that IT doesn't want anything on their servers,
which I agree is much more of a problem than the in/out board.

I agree, having an internal webserver is a much better Idea, but if they
won't allow it bye bye security. In the cloud, anyone can find the info of
lets say, where the regional VP of operations will be out of the office
meeting at so and so at this time. (precursor to merger? Oh no!).

Now, I'm sure a large company wouldn't do this if they didn't want leaks,
but sadly, this happens all the time. IT has gotten lazy and its sad.

Sorry for the rant, had to get it out.

BTW, im keeping my eyes open for something for the in/out board. Heck I
might just make something to do the trick as a project.

Best,

Ryan

I disagree wholeheartedly.
Yammer is not for internal corporate use if you want your information
to be completely security safe.
Yammer hosts their information on their own servers just like Twitter
does.
If you want security, host your internal microblogging on your own
server using Laconi.ca
That's we do.
