[webproducers] virtual interview for virtual professionals

Dear Web Producers,

I've been lurking on this list for some time - I don't pipe up
often here but know many of you from WWWAC, Webdesign-L and the
Webmonster list, I'm sure.

I have been working on a project to study and interview virtual
professionals, a favorite topic of mine :-) I'm not sure what
form the results will take exactly -- maybe an e-book or PDF for
free download, maybe a series of articles on my site and
elsewhere. In any event, I created an interview online at Survey
Monkey, and I would like to invite folks from this list to
contribute because many of you work virtually and are pros at it.

The only requirement is that you own or co-own your own business,
and work virtually 20% or more of the time (in other words, not
just dabbling occasionally). In this case, by virtual I mean not
working face to face with your clients, probably having never met
them even once. Most virtual folks are home based, many are free
agents or independent contractors using technology to run their
businesses and communicate with clients. It is not a statistical
or scientific study really - I admit that :-)

The interview will take approximately half an hour online if you
do both the survey questions and the essay questions (which will
provide fodder for my writing) and you can leave and come back if
need be. Because the interview is somewhat long, I am going to do
a random drawing at the end for a copy of Dan Pink's excellent
book "Free Agent Nation"

Feel free to forward to clients or friends who are virtual
professionals but NOT in the virtual assistant or web design
fields - they are a lot harder to find!

The survey will run only continue to run until June 23, 2003.
